So, where do I go from here?
There are
a number of things you should do.
1. Tell everyone you know about your new friend, Jesus, and about your
experiences with Him.
2. Talk to a someone who can help you in your journey, a pastor, and start going to church.
If you don't like the first church you go to, try another. Check your local churches out on the web. Usually
you can tell a lot about a church from their web site.
Don't be discouraged if one
church doesn't welcome you in right away. Get a feel for them and if they aren't for you, not a problem, try
somewhere else. I want to prepare you for some churches that are closed to outsiders, have a snooty attitude,
or aren't interested in expanding the family of God. These churches are typically in trouble and it is obvious from
the beginning. Remember,
God will rejoice more over your presence in a church than he will over 99
people who have been there all along (Luke 15:4-32), it's in the Bible, so don't be put out by the "religious
elitists" that might think they are better than you.
3. Search for a good bible study program and start
reading. The bible is a huge book, don't be intimidated, you have your whole life to read it, but work on only 1
book at a time. Start with the book of Luke and read only one page per day. Then you can read acts, then Ephesians.
